The founding of the transport
The founding of the transport
group dates back to 1961 when it opened a shipping company
to operate ferry services between Hong Kong and Macau. In 1999, the Group
strategically merged each other's shipping business with China Overseas Chinese
International Shipping Co., Ltd. and successfully established the “Jet Jet
Airways” brand to strengthen the Group's shipping business and increase market
share. TurboJET is operated and managed by Shun Tak China Travel Shipping
Investment Co., Ltd. and is connected to major destinations within the Pearl
River Delta (“PRD”), including Hong Kong, Macau, Nansha and Shekou, providing
passengers with fast, reliable and comfortable seas. Transportation service.
In 2003, TurboJET launched "Jet Jet Airline
Service" (formerly known as "Airport Jet Flight") to connect
major international airports in the Pearl River Delta with ferries to form a
unique cross-regional air and sea transportation network. . This sea-to-air
transfer service connects passengers from Macau and the major destinations of
the Pearl River Delta to the Hong Kong International Airport and strengthens
the connection between the Pearl River Delta region and destinations around the
world.
In September 2011, Jet Air successfully acquired the first
ferry service in the New World (Macau) and became the world’s largest
high-speed passenger ship fleet, further consolidating its market leadership in
the region. This strategic move also shows the Group’s determination to build a
seamless maritime transportation network for the Pearl River Delta region.
Today, the Group participates in the operation and management of the three key
terminals in the region, including the Hong Kong Haitian Passenger Terminal,
the Macau External Passenger Terminal and the Shenzhen Airport Fuyong Terminal.
The group's managed passenger terminal network strategically cooperates with
the Pearl River Delta region to build a multi-modal transportation and
intermodal deployment.
In June 2013, the Group cooperated with Qantas and China
Eastern Airlines to invest in Jetstar Hong Kong Airlines Limited (“Jetstar Hong
Kong”) and held a third of the company’s equity. Jetstar Hong Kong's relevant
operating licenses are pending approval by relevant authorities.
For land transport, the Group’s joint venture company, Macau
Singh International Travel Motors Co., Ltd., has a fleet of 144 vehicles and
operates domestic and cross-border passenger bus services in major domestic
cities and Macau.
The huge coverage of land, sea and air transportation
networks strategically creates a unique international multimodal transport
service platform for the Group, allowing the Group to fully grasp the
opportunities brought by the passenger flow in the PRD and other regions in
Asia.
